Hey people. Will here. Giving my view on the first few days blog at the Charles Darwin Grammar School (aka That'll Teach 'em Boys versus Girls)

Prologue

I decided to apply to that'll teach 'em mainly for a laugh. I really did not what I was expecting. I barely watched the other series but I got the overall idea. I was encouraged (or more forced) by my sister to apply for. So I did thinking that I wouldn't even get past the first round.

A few weeks later I got asked to go to the first round audition. I thought 'Great! What the hell, the odds will be really against me'. I went anyway on my own (my parents were busy) and I looked really awkward since I travelled the furthest with a load of kids with their parents looking like they were applying for a scholarship or something and there I was on my own waiting for anything to happen.

I did my interview, feeling pretty alright and just being myself. None of that fancy 'I am the next Jade Goody' or anything like that. A few days later, I got asked to go to the 2nd round of interviews. My first thought was 'No Way! Either I actually do stand a chance or everyone else from the 1st audition was really bad!". They said it was down London and would pay part of my travels. Great! A free trip to London!

Again, my parents and sisters were all busy so I headed down there by coach (I thought it would be cheaper) and got there at 6am, which kind of showed how much effort I was putting into it. I was shattered from the coach journey (it takes about 6-7 hours from up north!) and the interview wasn't for another 6 hours! I spent most of that time walking around London. I already been here many times especially through China town. At last it was nearly time and I was more nervous than ever. I went through the interview (seeing future head-boy Rob who I didn't know yet) and worrying myself if I am going to make myself look like an ass. By then I think I really was going to do my best especially when the producers said they were going to choose 30 out of 60 people. Again, I was just being myself, cracking a few (bad) jokes and all and just saying what I normally say.

After the interview 3 days later, I got an unexpected call from Twenty Twenty saying I got in! I was so shocked and my sister was even more shocked! I couldn't believe myself, of all the people they could've picked, they chose a Chinese Northerner, who has a Hartlepudlian twang and has the organization of a man with no pen! I was so excited, my mood completely changed and I absolutely could not wait for it to come this summer…

Coming Soon, The first few days of arriving in Camp Hell.
